The Excursions (formerly Cool Reflection):  We are a constellation of diverse musicians who enjoy playing classic rock, reggae, blues and Americana with a jazzy, improvisational touch. Original music and select covers, interpreted in a fresh way, feature dynamic interplay between the instruments and complex harmonies. On a given night, in addition to our original compositions, you might hear anything from "Rockin' in the Free World" to "Use Me Up" to J J Cale's "Don't go to Strangers" to "I Put a Spell On You", to Willie Dixon's "That Same Thing" to Chuck Berry tunes to Mark Knopfler, all done in our own style.

The Excursions have deep roots in Fresno and Central California, and this is the current lineup:

Mindy Sullivan--Vocals

Jeff Single Guitar, keys, vocals and harmonicas, songwriting
Willie Barrera Bass
Mike Brown  Guitar, keyboards, mandolin, and vocals, songwriting
Woody Moise Vocals, guitar, songwriting
Marc Wise Drums

Liz Laury--Vocals, guitar

About Our Music Player

At the bottom of the page are the controls for the music player.  We are featuring music recorded by various members of the band prior to formation of The  Excursions.  Lots of variety in the mix--it will shuffle so songs are not in any particular order.  We're sure you will find something to please.  We will go into the studio to record this band  ASAP, so bear with us, there is more to come!

Kings River Life Magazine has published an article about The Excursions as part of their coverage of Fresno's Rogue Festival 2020.
