NEW HORIZONS FOR THE EXCURSIONS!!!

The Excursions have deep roots in Fresno and Central California, and this is the current lineup: 

Pete Favela—Percussion and vocals

Jeff Single —Guitar, keys, vocals and harmonicas, songwriting 

Mike Brown  —Guitar, keyboards, mandolin, and vocals, songwriting 

Jenny Lewis-Vocals, ukulele, songwriting

Marc Wise —Drums, Bass and songwriting

Liz Laury--Vocals, guitar

Our music is wide-ranging, our repertoire is vast, exploratory and ever-changing. Our tastes are eclectic and often improvisational, embracing many styles from roots Americana, Pop, Rock, Reggae to Latino, Soul, Blues and the uncategorizable (my favorite genre). 
 
We are both a full-on electric band with a powerful rhythm section of bass, drums and myriad percussion, keyboards, guitars and harmonica, as well as an acoustic configuration with complex harmonies and diverse instrumentation.  Originals and covers showcase our multi-faceted musical roots and talents.

On a given night, in addition to our original compositions, you might hear anything from 

NEIL YOUNG to "Use Me Up" to J J Cale to Chuck Berry tunes to grateful dead, talking heads or Mark Knopfler, all done in our own style.
